Chandler – Tumbleweed Christmas Tree

Christmas is full of surprises and the Chandler Tumbleweed Christmas Tree is no exception. My mom called me and asked if I have ever seen this unique tree (she saw it referenced in her Dr. David Jeremiah devotional). NO! I had not so I added to my must see Christmas adventures for December.

Chandler, AZ

Last week a couple of my friends and I made the easy 45 minute drive to downtown Chandler AZ. Easy enough when you pick a weekday to go and visit. While a Thursday was still pretty busy – I knew the week would be more difficult to experience the Tumbleweed Christmas Tree. We snagged a parking spot (there were very few to find) and enjoyed the festive tree.

While we did miss the tree lighting ceremony they held the prior week-end it was a great new find to add to my tradition of checking out fun new Christmas lights in different neighborhoods. Come on you know you want to have some new adventures and the joys of Christmas are not just for kids. Check out the Tumbleweed Christmas tree yourself.

1000 Tumbleweeds

This unique Tumbleweed tree has been a tradition since 1957. This tree is made up of nearly 1000 tumbleweeds which make up the massive 25f ft. tall frame. Check out their Christmas tree this year and add the Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Lights to your Christmas adventures – you will be sure to find Santa there as well. https://www.chandleraz.gov/explore/special-events/tumbleweed-tree-lighting-ceremony I am going to try my hand at creating a tree for my backyard the next time I see some tumbleweed blowing by my windows.

While Christmas is a fun time to explore new communities it is a great way to build new traditions as well. So grab a friend, some family members and perhaps a few kids and go have some adventures. Check out the Tumbleweed Christmas tree in Chandler and you might find a new tradition for your Christmas holiday.

The Real Meaning of Christmas

Don’t forget what the True meaning of Christmas is all about. If your not sure watch A Charlie Brown Christmas and then read Luke 2 in the Bible and begin your journey with a life with Jesus.
