San Antonio Texas Travels

Gems of San Antonio

There is so much to see in the southern part of the U.S. so be sure to add San Antonio Texas Travels to your bucket list. San Antonio is rich in history, wonderful food and fabulous finds in the small eclectic shops during our travels amongst the Gems in San Antonio. I made a quick trip to San Antonio and will definately be back.

The weather during this trip was cold and rainy so the next trip will have to include the Alamo which is rich in American history. This girl has become soft living in the Arizona desert. But I toughed it out with the kids and enjoyed some great spots while I was there.

Guenther House

We visited the Guenther house for a great breakfast. The staff was exceptional. Our server gave us information on the 160 year history of the home and encouraged us to check out the museum and gift shop which is part of the Guenther House. This was a fun start to my first day in San Antonio Texas.

River Walk

Another well known gem in San Antonio is the 15 mile River Walk. This was a definite bucket list item so we enjoyed what we could in spite of the rain and cold weather. We had dinner at Smoke BBQ+Riverbar https://smokedowntown.com/event/smoke-riverbar/. They have a beautiful view of the River Walk and a wide variety of food that even the kids enjoyed. I am anxious to see more of the River Walk on my next San Antonio Texas Travels. 15 miles would give my step watch a great workout.

The Pearl

Another awesome San Antonio Texas Travel find was The Pearl. This was so fascinating. Check out the Website: https://atpearl. Hotel Emma has so much history on and in it’s walls. Beside the quaint shops you will find Week-end markets, cafe’s, coffee shops and fun shop keepers and patrons just steps from The Emma.

Leave it to a woman like Emma Koehler, to take this company through the prohibition and great depression and still flourish.

We had a great time visiting these sights over the week-end and plan to visit again. Until we meet again San Antonio Texas.
